Sunny Bank Farm is a spacious 17th century stone farmhouse in the heart of Swallows and Amazons country in England's beautiful Lake District National Park. Here one can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside so beloved by Wordsworth, Ruskin, Beatrix Potter and Arthur Ransome. Yet Sunny Bank is within easy reach of charming villages and towns with all the attractions they have to offer. The house is fully equipped to cater for groups of up to 11 (with an optional 12th person on chair bed). A ramped entrance, ground floor sofa-bed (providing a sixth bedroom) and shower room with WC have been designed for wheelchair access (See Access Statement linked below). It is well equipped for toddlers and children. A large barn with games facilities is also available for an extra charge. There is even a disused Baptist chapel! Extensive grounds lead down to a wide private frontage onto Coniston Water. A small rowing boat and a Canadian canoe together with buoyancy aids for children and adults are available for an extra charge. Sunny Bank is an ideal base for walking, touring, sailing, windsurfing or just relaxing in peaceful surroundings. Available all year round. Change over is normally on Saturdays.
